Photocopy reworked with pencil, marker, and correction fluid
In developing his original drawing, Peter photocopied and added to it in several stages, exploring, enhancing, and finally transforming its expressive effect. The reworked version here, with visible additions in marker, pencil, and correction fluid, represents the next-to-last step the process: this sheet was then photocopied to make the final, “clean copy” of the print. The reworked image may sacrifice something of the spontaneity and lyrical delicacy of the original ink sketch, but gains in the force and depth of the feelings it evokes.
