This image and the one following seem to have been made together and are probably related to a project that Peter never completed, a set of illustrations to a Hungarian classic, Gyula Krudy’s Almoskönyv (Book of Dreams). Together, they show Peter subtly adapting his observations of human nature to the spirit of his national folklore and literature.
